Our Story
Hobart Contracting was founded by Adam Hobart with an innate passion for quality craftsmanship.
I started doing carpentry in 2001, doing renovations and building houses in CT. Moved to Maine in 2008, started working with a group of older finish carpenters in the York area. Focused on that aspect of the trade for close to 10 years. Started my business, with that focus and cabinetry. Eventually started taking on bigger projects, full renovations and new construction.
I have been very intentional about building a team of solid craftsman and friends, committed to woodworking and building. We take on a variety of work, renovations, new houses, small projects for the right people. Some commercial work, restaurants, renovated the Sotheby's office in Ogunquit. We aspire to continuing growing and thrive on complex, custom builds. We are committed to solid communication with our clients and work hard to make the construction process as smooth as possible.
